Dr. Paul Clayton, PhD
Dr. Paul Clayton, PhD is a visiting lecturer at the University of Westminster and the Research Director of Medical Nutrition Matters, a post-graduate course approved by the British Medical Association to train preventative nutrition to General Practitioners. He serves as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine and previously served as President of the Forum on Food + Health and a former Senior Scientific Advisor to the UK Government’s Committee on the Safety of Medicines.
Working with leading doctors in the UK and abroad, Dr. Clayton designed clinical trials for nutritional therapies at leading teaching hospitals and lectures on nutrition and frequently presents at international conferences on nutrition and health. He also served as Member of Scientific Advisory Board at MonaVie LLC and as Deputy Chairman of Conival Plc. He is a published expert in the area of functional nutrition and health; his books include Health Defence and After Atkins. Dr. Clayton received a degree in Medical Pharmacology from Edinburgh University.
